Danae was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta but considers beautiful Prince Edward Island her second home. She graduated from Mount Royal University’s Bachelor of Nursing program with honours and began a career as a Registered Nurse soon after. Her passion for babies and maternity health led her to her dream job in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Foothills Medical Center, a highly specialized area that requires careful attention to detail, compassion, and an empathetic patient-specific approach. While caring for the extremely premature newborns and their families in the NICU, she gained a deeper love and appreciation for the nursing profession.

Her interest in aesthetics began after visiting numerous plastic surgeons for an injury in her early childhood. Witnessing the confidence and satisfaction that aesthetic treatments could bring pushed her to pursue her love for aesthetic nursing. Danae began her journey into medical aesthetics after completion of The Filler Course and The Botox Course alongside the talented Dr. Andrew Dargie. Following this extensive training, she further enhanced her education through the Canadian Fellowship of Cosmetic Injectables at SOS Skin and North Okanagan Skin & Laser in Kelowna, BC.

Danae believes in working closely with her clients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their individual aesthetic goals and wishes. Her passion for medical aesthetics and her keen eye for detail ensures that each client receives the highest quality of care. She prides herself in delivering natural results that leave you glowing, refreshed and confident.

Joanna graduated the Bachelor of Nursing program in 2003 and began working with Bone Marrow Transplants patients and so began a career of working with the sickest and most complex hospitalized patients. In 2004 she moved into the Intensive Care Unit. Ever wanting more challenges, she completed the Masters of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Calgary in 2010. As a NP Joanna has had the incredible opportunity to work with the Heart Transplant program and the Gynecology- Oncology team. In 2013 she returned to the ICU to be a part of Calgary’s first Critical Care NP program, a program she is still proud to be a member of.

Joanna discovered a new respect for skin care and aesthetics in 2020. The stress of the pandemic and heavy mask wearing took a toll on her skin as she entered her later 30’s. Like so many others she found her skin texture and tone began to change. But above all else she valued a positive aging outlook backed by the best skill and science in the industry. In 2021 She completed her Medical Aesthetics training with Dr. Dargie in Kelowna and followed up the Canadian Medical Aesthetics fellowship later that year.

She is excited to join Dr. Dargie and the SOS team and looks forward to bringing her procedural skills, advance medical knowledge and deep love of excellent patient care and clinical outcomes to your aesthetic journey.
